To Whom It May Concern:

 This is a letter of recommendation for Kathy Stauffer, the realtor with whom my wife and I worked recently on the purchase of our new home at 1711 Saddle Draw. We recommend Kathy without reservation; we've never had another realtor, but cannot possibly imagine one as thorough, diligent and kind as Kathy.

 We lucked into meeting Kathy. After spotting our current home was for sale, we poked our heads into the local Windermere office and Kathy happened to be the one who helped us. Right away, we noticed her down-to-earth style and warmed up to it. So often, realtors are "slick" and only interested in the sale. Kathy, on the other hand, was just as interested about us as people as she was about our preferences in a home to buy.

 Over the course of that day, Kathy treated us as if we were the only people in the world, shuttling us around town and showing us every house within our price range. This commitment to tip-top service characterized our dealings with Kathy throughout the negotiation process as well, when it was not uncommon for us to speak with her five, 10 or even 15 times a day. Even when I, a hot-headed Italian, was not on my best behavior, Kathy was perfectly calm, cool and collected, always the true professional. Quite frankly, there were a few days where Kathy was more of a psychologist than a realtor, and for that I am grateful.

 Finally, when we agreed on a price and moved to closing, Kathy was unflinching in her support. She met us at our document signing with a smile. She paid for our home warranty. She paid to have our house professionally cleaned. She even treated us to a wonderful picnic backpack and delicious goodies from local establishments. Kathy Stauffer made us feel at home in our new home from the very beginning. We don't plan on buying another house again soon, but when we do, she'll be the first person we call.

I cannot express the thanks Todd and I have for all that you have done for us. You put up with us for a whole year - you kept looking for a house for us but never pushed us – you asked us all the right questions to help us realize what we were really looking for. The few times we needed to know more about a house, we watched you artfully chat with the other agents – you are a true professional!

When the closing approached and we got cold feet and weren’t sure we were doing the right thing….you were cool as a cucumber and helped me to feel comfortable and supported in whatever we chose to do. Finally, you were so kind to personally help out with the chimney inspector and if that weren’t enough you were there on our first day of ownership with a cold beer – thanks I needed that!

You have been so much more than we would have ever expected in a real estate agent, you have been an advocate, chauffer, counselor, friend and most importantly a seasoned professional.
